The **[[Reflected Best Self]]** is a [[Personal Development]] exercise that seeks to surface the empirically observed 'best self' or 'hidden potential' of an individual through the observations of people who know the individual well. ^about The exercise can be summarised as: 1. Identify 10 or more people who you know well and ask of them: "Tell me a story about when I was at my best" 2. Collate the stories and identify themes and patterns in how people perceive you and what memorable and emotional impact you had on their time with you 3. Composed a self-portrait based on these themes and reflections as a flowing dialogue that begins with "When I am at my best, I..." 4. Plan and take action into how you can realign your life and your work to be your best self. This exercise was originally developed by professors [[Gretchen Spreitzer]], [[Bob Quinn]], [[Jane Dutton]], and [[Laura Morgan Roberts]].
